In recent years, with the rise of the internet, there’s been a major resurgence in interest about Nikola Tesla’s career, with information about his life and work becoming much more readily available than it had been for most of the 20th century. Tesla was one of the pioneering figures of the industrial age, and yet for decades his contributions to modern science and industry were often underemphasized or overshadowed by those of his rivals, particularly Thomas Edison and Guglielmo Marconi.
In the latter phases of his career, after getting into serious disputes with both Edison and JP Morgan - two giants of American oligarchy - Tesla found himself unable to find financial backing for his work. It was almost as if he had been blacklisted. By this point, Tesla’s attention had become entirely focused on the quest to develop a revolutionary new form of energy system, one designed to harness power obtained not from traditional fuel sources like coil or oil but the ambient energy of an all-pervading field of atmospheric energy - the “Ether”.
The Ether is a physics principle that was once popular during the 19th-century but which came under dispute around the turn of the century, ultimately being abandoned in favor of General Relativity - an alternate physics model introduced by Einstein. The concept of the Ether originally comes from alchemy; it references the existence of a universal field of subtle energy, which is thought to permeate the entirety of space and serve as the energetic foundation of material reality.
It should be noted that many of the greatest scientific pioneers of the 19th-century based their theories and equations around the concept of the Ether; Tesla was by no means alone in his reverence for it. For example, Michael Faraday and James Clark Maxwell’s original theories of electromagnetism were formulated in reference to the Ether.
While the Ether was a foundational component of physics during the 19th-century, referenced by nearly all of the century’s greatest physicists and engineers, it was rapidly abandoned in the early 20th-century, disappearing entirely from physics curriculums. This is a curious and suspicious fact of history, one requiring detailed investigation.
The mainstream narrative is that the existence of the Ether theory was scientifically disproven. But, as we will be exploring in the next section, there are good reasons to believe that the experiment that claims to have invalidated it - the famous Mickelson-Morley Experiment - is widely misinterpreted and in fact did not actually disprove its existence. Nevertheless, the mainstream physics community began to abandon the notion, eventually jumping ship to Einstein’s theory of General Relativity, which argued that electromagnetic waves can propagate in space without reference to an underlying medium or etheric substrate.
One of the central theories of this book is that the Ether physics paradigm was never actually discredited but instead deliberately made to disappear from the mainstream scientific community. The reason? The entire scientific field became “classified” for national security reasons, with some invisible entity within America’s emerging National Security State rising up to seize control of its research and take it “deep black”.
In place of the Ether have been substituted a series of fundamentally flawed physics frameworks, including general relativity, quantum mechanics, and string theory. While the mainstream physics community distracts itself with these new theories, a concealed scientific institution has continued to develop the Ether physics model, creating not only a classified system of physics but also a classified arsenal of technologies, which have been developed using the principles of this classified Ether science.
By implication, since the early decades of the 20th-century, there has arisen a two-track system of physics and technology: one rooted in the classified science of Etheric energy; the other in an incompatible hodgepodge of theories that collectively form a “road to nowhere”.
Whoever it was that rose up to take control of the Etheric energy paradigm and write it out of mainstream textbooks is the real Hidden Hand driving modern world history, holding not only exclusive access to an entirely classified dimension of science, but it also to a completely hidden arsenal of exotic energy and aerospace technologies engineered using its principles.
I will elaborate more on implications of this scientific and technological cover-up later on, but for now let’s move on to investigate in greater deal the core ideas that unpinned Ether physics during the latter decades of the 19th-century, before the cover-up was instigated.
Summarizing the place of the Ether in late-19th-century physics research, Robert L. Henderson writes that during this period it was commonplace for physicists to assume that “light consisted of waves which propagated through a medium known as the ‘luminiferous ether’, or simply the ‘ether’ for short. The assumption of an ether was perfectly rational: light was known to have wave-type properties, and by definition, waves only exist within a medium.”
Elaborating further on the parameters of the Ether concept as it was then understood, Henderson writes that “the ether, although it could not be physically observed, was believed to possess certain specific properties, as determined from observation of the universe. First, it had to fill all existing space. Second, it had to sustain and transmit wave motion, which constituted the phenomenon of light. And third, it had to permit the passage of material objects such as stars and planets without retardation.”Furthermore, “since the ether was assumed to fill all existing space, it was considered to be the fundamental reference frame of the universe, and it was assumed that light traveled with a constant velocity ‘c’ with respect to this reference frame. In addition, it was assumed that the earth was traveling through the ether with some unknown velocity ‘v’.”
The Ether concept was foundational to Faraday and Maxwell’s theories of electromagnetism; it was also essential to Tesla’s successes as an inventor. Although the electrical age has been built atop the work of all three figures, modern scientists still attempt to deny the validity of their scientific worldview.
In Tesla’s recorded writings and speeches, he makes quite clear his belief in the existence of the Ether. For example, in one famous quote, he states: “Long ago, man recognized that all perceptible matter comes from a primary substance, or a tenuity beyond conception, filling all space - the Akasa or luminiferous Ether - which is acted upon by the life-giving prana or creative force, calling into existence, in never-ending cycles, all things and phenomena.”
In a 1908 op-ed for the New York Times, Tesla elaborated on his esoteric and highly philosophical conception of the Ether, writing that “every ponderable atom is differentiated from a tenuous fluid, filling all space merely by spinning motion, as a whirl of water in a calm lake. By being set in movement, this fluid, the ether, becomes gross matter. Its movement arrested, the primary substance reverts to its normal state.”
Tesla hints that if a sufficiently advanced science of Etheric energy were ever to be developed - one that could accurately describe how Etheric energy interfaces with “gross matter” to generate material form - it would then become “possible for man, through harnessed energy of the medium and suitable agencies for starting and stopping ether whirls, to cause matter to form and disappear.” In other words, a sufficiently advanced science of Etheric energy gives mankind the godlike power to generate and disband material realty, birthing material forms out of the Ether or dissolving them back into it at will.
If this is true, could a secret society have realized this danger and moved to consolidate together all the work being done in this field and put it under the custodianship of a single authority? To me, this is the most plausible explanation for why, around the same period, Etheric physics is written out of the textbooks, the flying airship phenomena completely disappears, and Nikola Tesla finds his himself ostracized from the mainstream scientific community and blacklisted from obtaining funding for his research.
The invention concepts and engineering blueprints that Tesla developed in the later stages of his career all explicitly referenced the existence of the Ether and were based around the attempt to harness its energetic properties to power a variety of technologies: including energy generation devices, wireless electrical transmission systems, wireless communication technologies, and levitating antigravity vehicles. If there was an attempt to silo these types of technologies into the exclusive possession a hidden scientific institution, then it is no surprise that Tesla’s revolutionary ideas went undeveloped.
Tesla was a maverick genius who had independently discovered the same core scientific and engineering concepts that secret societies like the Sonora Aero Club had been working to develop in private for decades. Tesla was not a member of these organizations and had independently rediscovered the latent power of the Ether, which the airship designers were leveraging to levitate and propel their vehicles. If these airship societies were consolidated together and put under the stewardship of a single executive board or think tank - as I believe they were - then Tesla’s ambition to commercialize these technologies for public use would have been viewed as an existential threat.
Given that Tesla was treading in dangerous waters with his work, it was only a matter of time until the clampdown was put on him - just as it had been with Peter Mennis, the pioneer behind the Sonora Aero Club. The beginning of the clampdown on Tesla’s work came in the form of JP Morgan, Tesla’s financier for the infamous Wardenclyffe Tower project located in Long Island between 1901 and 1905.
Tesla originally pitched the project to Morgan as an effort to develop a wireless communication technology capable of transmitting messages across the Atlantic. When Italian inventor Marconi beat him to the punch (using a number of Tesla’s patented inventions to do so), Tesla was forced to admit to Morgan that he had used his investment funds to develop something quite different: a global wireless energy system that harnessed ambient electrical properties of Nature and openly distributed them to the masses free of charge.
Morgan had absolutely no interests in seeing Tesla’s ambitious project through. At the time, he was not only the backer of Thomas Edison, Tesla’s rival who sought to develop an oligarch-friendly, closed-system model of wired energy transmission - he was also a major stakeholder in General Electric, the massive energy conglomerate built around the use of traditional fuel sources.
Unsurprisingly, after learning of Tesla’s plans, Morgan had an intensely hostile reaction, shutting down his funding and ending their relationship. From this point on, Tesla found it difficult to find financial backing for his work. In the meantime, Einstein’s general relativity model took off and Morgan and Edison’s electrical monopoly were booming. Apparently, while working in comparative obscurity during the latter decades of his life, Tesla drafted the blueprints for a host of breakthrough inventions, many of which were confiscated by the FBI after his death and have remained classified ever sense.
