Thank you for sharing this comprehensive and exhaustive work. I'm still digesting it. I'm curious how you you weave in the California Gold Rush to the time frame immediately preceding the Civil War? Bringing that much new gold to the global market surely had consequences?
I came across this story about the Gold Rush while researching the history of Yellow Journalism. It focuses on the environmental damage of mining but shares many other interesting historical tidbits, including the national and international agendas of the Polk administration with respect to it. I suspect a new greenback issued under Lincoln wouldn't have been possible without the vast stores of gold in US vaults that was newly mined. Thoughts?
From what I recall, the East Coast Establishment dominated the gold trade during the mid to late 19th century. I imagine the gold mined out west was shipped back east and put in their coffers. The economy of the West was rooted in silver and not gold, allowing this cross-country trade to take place. If I remember right, the engineered financial panics of the 1970s and 1890s were about pushing out silver and consolidating the economic order of the whole country on a gold standard controlled by the Money Trust, later setting the stage for these same interests to found the Federal Reserve system. I admit, I didn't do too much research on the specifics of the gold rush and if it had any other economic or political implications outside of its part in this larger story.
Oh so many fibers in the tangled web of history and deceit to deconstruct. It took a chance discovery in a search return investigating historical media deceit to reveal the gold rush angle to a much larger story.
Alexander, thank you for your body of work here. I can only imagine the amount of time and consideration it took. I read your entire Secret History of the 20th Century and found it an invaluable trove of information. You've compiled from some powerful informed and literate sources to create a behind-the-scenes world view that upturns the events we've taken for granted in our 'education' as fact. There's so much to digest in the series here that I must make my own summary, even a crib sheet. It certainly bears repeat readings.
Having said all that, I'm not sure I can get fully on board with your Rosicrucian globalist happy ending. While I acknowledge the notion of a 'hidden hand' and the esoteric aspect of life in general, it being a substrate of my own personal life, I sense a different future to the one you expound. As you wisely say, time will tell.
I look forward to delving into more of your work and who knows? Maybe I'll come around to the Rosy Cross. I certainly had a profound experience of divine maternal presence in the crypt of Rosslyn Chapel, one which will always remain with me.
Hi Mayvo, thank you for writing. The past few months I’ve been going back over that series and doing a comprehensive edit in order to prepare get it published on Amazon. I’ll have more to say about that in the near future.
The backstory of my belief that the mystery schools will return as a leading institution in human life is explored more in my earlier series on Francis Bacon, Plato, Pythagoras, and esoteric Buddhism. It’s also a major theme of my book on Manly P Hall, which I wrote as a companion to the 20th century series.
Thanks again for reading/writing in. All the best, - Alex

Navyo** it autocorrected me when I typed your name
Mayvo kinda sounded like vegan mayo :-)
I look forward to checking out your edits/additions, and exploring more of your earlier work and Manly Hall.
I just finished Part One and I was blown away!
The amount of information captured was captivating. I highlighted 157 different passages -- That's how much information was displayed here.
Great Work with this Alex and I can't wait to order the book. Till then, I'll continue reading.
And I echo your solution as well: this is a philosophy problem. Will be writing and discussing this in a future article.
Franklin, thank you so much for that - it really made me happy to read. We’ll connect soon.
Take your time! We'll connect when the time is right. Till then I'll continue reading these amazing gems and commenting as such.
